Thanks Deb, my name is Tammy and my son is Joe Nussbaum.  Any information you can pass along is greatly appreciated, I was a navy wife for 13 years, my husband was on the John F Kennedy and Joe was christened aboard that ship.  Could you send me the link for the ship's web site?  My email is tammymedassist@yahoo.com  you can also find me on facebook (Tammy McQuilkin Nussbaum)  Thanks again

Welcome in to the VG family Crate! Due to OPSEC rules and the utmost safety of our sailors, we tend to be very discrete of in and outs, but am sure you can tell by our comments lately of the just of it! There's so much to learn, I know. Even those who are prior military, even prior Navy have made many comments it is not the same when they were in. Goes to show, the sayings about the only things the same are "constant change"! So I hope we can help where we can, just ask and we will try our best! Your daughter is on a good ship!! If/when you'd like more discrete info, you can PM one of us at our inbox and would be happy to give more private info there. It is amazing how much is watched, world wide on these discussions! Really! BTW, Thanks immensely to your daughter and you for her service!!!

Hi, My daughter has just been assigned to the vella gulf, she will report on sept 10th. She is a QM and is 21 years old. Is the Vella Gulf in or out? Just trying to get use to this as a new Navy mom, I did grow up a Navy brat.
