Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The actual show starts at about six and a half minutes in, but it's interesting to see them setting up and listen to the bridge running a simulation.

Here's this morning's video from the Wasp!  (I used the embed code from http://www.livestream.com/usnavy.  

That was so much fun!  And that we got to see one of "our" sailors, SO cool, especially since we had one asleep, one too shy, one off the ship on liberty.

I made mine hurry up, he said they were going to be there for half hr but I know how is the live stream and if no one is there they will cut it off and couple guys after him they cut it. His mom got really happy though :D

@Earl's wife - that was great to see your husband do a shout out to you on the live stream today.  Made me cry!  My son was in the shop, just behind the camera.  I texted him and told him to come out and walk by they camera.  He said nope, mom, I'm ok.  Sure wish he wasn't so shy!

Yeah I cant send you the schedule. She will get the schedule once she get to the ship.

Im so exited got to see my hubby iduring the live streaming :D
