Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Okay, the ship posted pics of Feburary Birhthday meal, I got all excited thinking that I would see my sailor boy, and guess what?  He never knew about the event!  His birthday is tomorrow!  Still no package, at least he met the packers.

Gaye,Thats so cool! Thanks for sharing the picture!! I got an email, my son had to work and didnt get to see Gallagher, or his show or meet him.

Diane, that was beyond sweet!!!  :)  I'm still getting over the phone call, I do much better with e-mails. Flowers would have me right back in the tissue box!

Well, I got my first ever deployment phone call. It was static filled, garbled, and sound like...well...like he was far far away in the middle of a fish tank!  We got a few words in, lasted only about 6 minutes before we were disconnected. I think I do better with emails.

Im still waiting on pictures of my son as well. I have old band videos, maybe I should follow your lead Diane and play them again!!

Hi Holly, welcome to the group!  This is my son's first deployment, I saw him in four photos at the beginning, now I feel like I am stalking the site!  LOL!  Husband, son, or Boyfriend?
