CorpsmansGirl...Have you every considered getting married by proxy? That way you are married and you would then be included all the orders.
You of course can have your "White Wedding" when you sailor is on leave. It would just solve your issure of orders and medical care.
I know it is still done as my GF son just did it in November.
Thanks for all the advice Anti M! I just talked to my bf and he is going to talk to the chaplain on base soon and figure out what steps he needs to take. I talked to him further about getting married and making sure its the right decision for him. We are confident that we can get through anything and while we are young, we know we will be together forever. through everything! I can not wait to get everything rolling off the groud on this new adventure! and will be talking with my son's father about custody arrangements. Thanks again!
AM, any C school which is six months or longer (I forget specifically how many weeks, 20~ish+) is a set of orders without follow on orders, and is not combined with A school orders. A C school that long will provide a move for (already acquired) dependents.
Anti M - Yes, I am part of two groups of his rate. He is in the ITOF program. Very long. A school 19 weeks, C school 16 weeks. He has a guaranteed 2 weeks between A and C school.
What do you mean, "Now, if you're both lucky, he will get a C school long enough to be orders in itself."?
Thanks Jess, I just want to be his, forever! you know??
