Hi ladies! Ok so I'm already a tried and true Navy wife, but I saw this group and had to share this with you all. When my husband and I got married we didn't have a Navy theme for our wedding, we had a very formal theme, but one thing I really wanted was a Navy Cake Topper, and let me tell you - those (that look nice) are hard to find!! Sooo if you want a custom cake topper (you can choose hair, eye color, your sailors rank and rate, etc) try jwcaketoppers.com - They are a bit pricey, but so worth it! Ok, I hope someone uses my tip - I loved mine!!

WELL....

OK! :)

we were high school sweethearts :) dated our junior and senior year.

so there is this little taco shop called LOS FAV's and EVERYONE from our school went there on an almost daily basis. and the thing to get was the BACON BREAKFAST BURRITO (echo echo echo). so for our senior prom, he came into my math class after getting back from los fav's and brought me one of the fabled burritos and inside the nasty greasy wrapper, scribbled in pencil chicken scratch it said, "will you go to prom with me?" AND i laughed so hard i cried and said yes:) FAST FORWARD TO GRADUATION. June 2nd, 2010. we graduate this evening and i'm SO EXCITED. mikey (my sailor) says, come over, i want to take you graduation lunch :) so, i drove to his parents' house, got in his car andwe drove :) once we got to a stop sign, HE BLINDFOLDED ME! i was not havin' it. :p once we stopped and the blindfold came off, we were at the park where we had first said "I love you" (pause for a collective "awwwwwwwww") :D

i just happend to see a group of my friends speeding off in a rav 4, which i knew was my bff's car. we walk up to the picnic table and LO AND BEHOLD, a gourmet breakfast burrito. (on fine china that was decorated with the sauces like you see at five star restaurants). also, some chocolate-covered strawberries (my FAVORITE!) so, as the lunch progressed, he began twiddling with my promise ring, which was not unusual. AND THEN, he took it OFF! i began PANICKING! (we haven't even graduated yet!!!) so, after he slipped off the promise ring, he slipped on a BEAUTIFUL round cut engagement ring, which was bordered by two smaller princess cuts, and little baby diamonds all around the band. i started BAWLING. so, i hid it from my parents as looooong as i could, but they were bound to eventually notice :p at this point, he had never met my mom and step-dad (or their two kids, my half-siblings) ever, as they live across the country. the first time he met my step-dad, he was asking for my hand! (at my HIGH-SCHOOL gradutation! CONTROVERSYYYYY). lol

ahh, young love :p we've been happily engaged for nine months now :) OH, this would be a good time to point out a good bit of irony... just a week before, we were voted "most likely to get married before the ink dried on our diplomas". WAY TO GO US. haha, we definitely didn't let anybody down there!

So, long story short, engaged and underaged over a breakfast burrito :) (btw, we'll both be 20 when we get married, so it doesn't seem too bad) :D

Hi all! Congratulations to you ladies. I have been engaged for about 3 weeks now. I laughed the entire time and asked him was he serious about 3 times before I actually said yes. lol. I was so surprised and the ring is like the one that I have seen in my dreams. :-) He proposed the night he got back from deployment.

Haha now that's funny! It took me a second to realize what was going on. He came home early from an underway and surprised me, so I was trying to process that as it was. I was sitting down, and he was on one knee, talking about how much he loved me, and when he pulled out the ring, I was just like, "Oh my gosh!" He teases me because I never even said yes. I just started crying and gave him a hug lol.
