For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by Paula on September 5, 2011 at 2:45am: NavySweetheart - He'll just need to update his page two, get you a military ID and get you on DEERs. The paperwork and ID machine were in the same place for my husband. If the machine isn't broke (my luck!) it should only take an afternoon to do the paperwork and get your ID. Don't know about DEERs, I still need to get on that. But I've heard you can call to enroll, so long as you know his Social Security Number and your on his Page Two. BAH, I've heard that takes about 2 pay cycles, so a month-ish. Just make sure you have backups of your marriage certificate for the page two updates.

Can anybody give any advice of your particular experience when filling out the paper work that's involved in becoming a spouse in the Navy? What all is involved? What about a military ID? It would be nice to have one as soon as possible so I can get on base, etc. Also, how long does it roughly take to receive bah? Thanks a bunch :)

But a few helpful tips that worked for me- I saw some of you guys talking about a shower party- I wanted to do one but there were some relatives on my moms side who didnt think gift cards were "gifts" so I did register but I also hand wrote on the invites that giftcards would be welcomed and appreciated since we were moving out of state shortly- and I got SO much in giftcards and cash it was an incredible blessing. Just explain your situation :) ALSO I dont know if this has been touched on before or not (I didnt wanna read every post) but we got married in Texas and after we told them that my hubby was active military they waived both the 72 hr waiting period AND the fee.. Congrats ladies and happy planning!

SInce we knew we would be moving we said we would thankfully accept girft cards. Our family sent checks and giftcards. Really helped us out with things that we needed for teh house

Her and my brother (also in Navy), eloped and have like nothing for their apartment. So we thought about having a card shower so that instead of buying gifts, she can just get cash and giftcards to go get what she needs once she's back in Washington. :)

P.S. I just joined and want to introduce myself. I'm Emily. I'm 18 and headed to college... well, tomorrow! We plan on a wedding before I graduate, but not moving in together until after I graduate. He's a Nuke finishing up Prototype, and we've been together over 3 years. :) I'm definitely excited I found this group! :)
