Okay, I get it.  It is highly unlikely he will be able to go to Florida between ATT and A school.  I'll give you $100 as a wedding gift if he does, that's how sure I am of that. I'm not kidding.  He won't have earned that much leave so soon anyway (they earn 2.5 days per month for 30 days a year).   I'm sorry to be such a downer.

The "Florida" threw me off, I was thinking Pensacola, sorry.

San Diego is a lovely place to wed.....

No he has not gone to boot camp, his program is STG-AEF so he'll be in GL for boot camp AND ATT then San Diego for A school and C school.

Has he gone to boot camp yet?  Just get married now and tell the recruiter to deal with it (unless you have kids, then he has to get a waiver).

Wait a minute, I remember now, I looked at your profile.  They usually do not get time off between ATT and A school, those are almost always held in the same place.  His A school is in San Diego?  Where is his ATT? Has he been told?  I would not count on any time off  between the two, not at all.  The "two week" is usually between A and C school, ATT is a different scenario completely.  Not a formal school, a pre-school training.

Thanks for the suggestion Kac! I didn't think of that but I will look into it!

Try looking into Georgia or Alabamas requirments. I had to get married in a different state. Drive 2 hours one week to get the license and then the next to get married on his long weekend off. Some requirments are different if your not a resident of the state, but its worth a shot. You could have a good road trip before bootcamp lol. Sometimes you jsut have to get a little creative

No unfortunately we live all the way down in southwest Florida! Just an hour and a half from Miami. I looked that up on the website you found below, that they are only good for 60 days.... we are just trying to think of our options! I know I have already talked to you and my sailor and I have decided to get married between ATT & his A school, we just don't want to count on his getting the 2 weeks off between schools because I have read enough on here to know better now :)

Looks like the FL licenses are only good for 60 days, so before boot is no good.  Are you close to P-Cola?  And of course you will have to wait until he gets to phase two liberty there and can go off base.

Well, dang.

Thanks Anti M, we are both Florida residents. Thanks for the link I will definitely check that out! I'm sure it has more useful information than the county clerk's website!
