The Florida three day wait ONLY applies to Florida residents. So if you are from any other state, you're fine and can go ahead right away when you get the license.
Here is one site which outlines license info (from a wedding panner, I thought you might enjoy it):
Thanks Kac, trying to avoid the 3 day waiting period since we don't really know how much time he'll have... it is between ATT and A school so we think about 2 weeks but just in case he only gets a weekend we want to be ready! So unromantic, I really can't wait to get this out of the way so I can start planning MY big wedding! This is all just for legal purposes... but I am not giving up my dream wedding because we're getting married in a courthouse :) especially as a wedding planner... I have SO many ideas already lol
i dont see why you wouldnt be able to get it before boot
My license was good for 6 months from the day I got it and had to be used in that county. I believe some are different in that you dont need to get married in the county you got you license in, rather you have to stay in the state you got it in. Just make sure you know the regulations wherever you get the license. good luck!
Hi everyone, will be a November bride, but had a question. We are doing the JOP wedding then planning the big wedding & reception for when we can get the time with his leave and etc, all the details you all know too well! Anyway in Florida where we will most likely be getting married the courthouse requires a 3 day waiting period between getting the marriage licenese & getting married. Does anyone know if we can get the marriage license before he leaves for boot camp? Or do we have to wait until his chit is approved to get the marriage license? (Not get married, just get the license.) I just don't know how much time we'll have in November so would like to do whatever I can to make it easier on us! Thanks!
