Jim's mom, wasn't too long ago (April 6th) we watched our son sworn in at the MEPS center in Milwaukee. Believe me the tears do ease up eventually but to be honest April and May were the hardest months ever for me. I cried alot.......It will get better.........just remember you raised him and he will be just fine....

yeah we took our son to Stevens Point and said our goodbyes and then they went to MEPS and off to Great Lakes. We all know the feeling of those goodbyes. Did your job mom they are on the way to adulthood. God Bless you all

Watched my son be sworn into active duty this morning. Stayed at MEPS, until it was time to get on the bus. He & one other sailor got on headed for GL, that was about 12:30, got a text at about 2 they were sitting at a gas station outside gate of the base. Now I'm trying to get myself together & can't seem to stop the tears. Thankfully my sister has invited us to cook, cause I don't feel like doing anything! :(

they always need another vehicle lol we are taking our son our truck so he and his wife will have a vehicle . she is working too and sometimes they will need to be going in different directions. Anyway I can't wait to see the ship on the horizon we are so glad we get to go It will be a long few weeks of travel for us because we are going on vacation starting tuesday for 10 days then leaving again after 1 day home at least we are flying back after that so it won't be quite as long a lot of driving but we are soooooo looking forward to it. hope to see you Brandy enjoy if I don't

Just an update on my son who is out in SD. His ship came out of dry dock and he said it's been long work days but he is really liking his job. They are getting ready to go a short deployment in a few weeks to get the quals done. He hasn't even had time to go exploring the city yet. He said the base is so big that he needs to get a motor cycle. He walks over two miles just to go see one of his buddies. Poor guy! I told him, all in good time.

Mary is right. Watching the ship coming into port in AMAZING!!! My husband was Navy, I was there to see the ship come in twice, brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. :) Have fun! Make a sign, so he/they can find you.
