Well wishes Lady Hamilton to you and your daughter.
I haven't been on Navy for Moms in a bit. My son's orders were changed again. He is no longer assigned to the USS Nimitz. He is now going to be doing shore duty in Norfolk, Virginia will be assigned to one of the 14 Admirals there. The changes is orders were again due to his performance at school. I am happy for him for receiving just a great position being just out of school but it is so far from us 2000 miles. He says he will go to school and get his degree as he will not deploy. He also got 3 years of shore and not 2 so we will see he is home at the moment and doesn't leave until the middle of this month. So I plan to enjoy him. if I get a chance to see him too many friends.
Navy MomJeg ship 12 div 325 I hope your son enjoys A school it is way different that Boot camp for them.
Welcome Video R's Mom
I think there are lots of different reactions to our children going to BC the best thing about this site is. It is so helpful no matter how you react. There are others who react the same or have the same questions. Be sure to visit the site Boot Camp Moms ,if you haven't yet. There is so much great information. I would have been so lost without this site. It helped so much. So many great Veterans that help along the way. My son is in A school has been there 3 weeks. Boot camp was quite a ride. I am still adjusting to him in A School. just waiting to hear where he will be stationed.
Good Morning, Everyone:
My son left for boot camp yesterday at 10 am. I am fortunate that I work 2 miles from home and was able to see him off. He will be a yeoman and I am anxious to see the sailor he becomes. I thought I would be more affected by him leaving, but I felt joy for him. I am just waiting to find out when he arrives at Great Lakes and when I can start writing him.
