Is it expensive for them to come home. How often can they come home? My son has a issue with his braces . he had them take them off without completing the process. in order to be able to keep his Ship date. He needs to have surgery to correct his jaw. I Have friends in the Navy and the  family orthodontics were not covered. I wonder how he will get that done I don't see him going to  another country and the Navy allowing him to have that done. I also don't think he would be too comfortable doing that. So any ideas on what might happen.

thanks Kim from Tennessee this is such a new world for me. I usually know exactly what my son is doing and where he is going but with this job he could end up anywhere. I know it is his journey but I am on side road somewhere following(instead of leading ) my son and his journey.

So I was just wondering what does a Yeoman do my son is in BC PIR is 08/05/2011 and is rated a Yeoman. I have heard many different things but since you on this group have loved ones with this rating maybe you can give me a more accurate broad description of a Yeoman responsibilities. thanks

Wow, Lady Hamilton, that is much faster than expected!!  She may be stationed here in Dam Neck when she is done, which isn't too far from me at all!!

This is good information! My son actually wanted to go in as a CTR; if he wants to re-enlist I hope he can be flexible. He so far loves the Navy so much I imagine he would do pretty much whatever it takes to stay in. He JUST went in so he has some time to mull over what he wants to do.
