Yes, get him a passport. This way if he wants to travel to other countries he will be able to do it.

My son is going to Yokuska in November - and he currently does not have a passport.  They told him at Greatl Lakes is was recommended, but not required that he get one.  He is currently at home for a week - should we make it a priority to get him a passport?  This will be his last chance before he goes to Japan.  Let me know what you think would be best for him.  Thanks!

Blondie-for Heath's mom

continued prayers for Heath and fam, it sounds generally better than yesterday but still watch and wait and pray for him. we have added many others to pray for Heath.

as regards help, it is so hard for our kids to accept help, but if it is moving or anything I can rally my son and his buddies in their 'off' time when they return to port. and I'm sure that whoever is in port now would rally to help move, pack, buy food, whatever. the navy has its limitations (taking orders) but you have a huge community that will step up like family if at all possible. talk to the chaplain of his ship or base and others who might be in a position to assist.

soup, protein, liquids, rest--antibiotics can really wipe a person out and cause them to lose weight. don't push it, and we are still praying here for a healthy transfer stateside. pls keep us updated.

thank you blondie! bless you all!

Adding my prayers to those for Heath and also for the families of the Navy Seals who were killed recently in Afghanistan.

God is so good - taking care of needs before we know it! :) Blessings for Heath's surrogate momma and continued prayer for his continued recovery and his parents being able to be w/him very soon.

Thank you, Blondie for the updates.
