Hello everyone!  My son is stationed in Yokosuka but is on the USS BR.  He is an IS for the 7th fleet.  Being an IS he is very tight lipped about their location, but wondering if the rumor of being back in Japan is true?? And what the condition of the base is when they get there will be???  I've been seeing many of you sending care packages, but he asks for nothing.  Hmmmm.  Is he just being a tough sailor??

Hello Jennils.  I understand your missing him like crazy!  Is this his first assignment?  My son has been at Yokosuka almost 4 years - first on the USS Shiloh and now the USS McCampbell.  He loves Japan and its people!  Wish your son the best on the GW.  There may be a GW site, as we have a site for the MC.  Welcome!   Cheryl

Talked to my son tonight too.  He is just waiting for them to detach him from the NTTC in Meridian and then he is headed home for leave before heading to Japan.  I am so excited for him but wish he would be serving closer to home.
