Sharon, don't know where you are flying from. In March we were able to fly Kelcie from Narita to Sacramento for 900.00. If Southwest services your area, you might want to check on getting out from Sac, it's a small airport and doesn't make changing planes hard at all. Plus Southwest is usually a lot cheaper than others.

A U.S. military member is missing their family while caring for yours. In the minute it takes you to read this, military members all over the world are saving lives. It's Military Appreciation week....Repost if you are a military member, love a military member, hold memories of a Fallen Hero, or appreciate the military.... God Bless Them... All!

Mama Nonie.....funny isn't it, how things that used to "bug" us seem minor when we don't have easy access to them.

I agree. I missed my sons call on Mothers Day because of being sick. Then they left.

Blondie,
Did your daughter go out on the Carrier Qual? Didn't she just go to Japan?

They have not deployed yet. I should have clarified. When they deploy they are out 6 months or more. They are on Carrier Qualifications. They should be back to their home port soon. My son's is .....@cvn73.navy.mil

I got a email from my son on Sunday morning when I woke up. And he said they are only allowed to access email and send email via their shipboard email. The navy.mil email address. If you don't have it make sure you get it before they deploy.

Hi Nonie, you do know that the sailors don't have access to Facebook while they are out to sea right? Gotta use their "navy.mil" email address to communicate with them. I'm not on facebook nearly as much now that they are out to sea, but check my regular e-mail at least twice a day.

Yeah, my daughter got some grief for hers also. Finally she was allowed to put it on the "back wall" of her "coffin". I had it sent here to our house, as I ordered it before I had an address, so I got to check it out. They are really nice, and VERY well made. My daughter loves hers!!
