Heard from my son too, we only got to talk for less then 2 minutes, but he said he is fine, not good but fine, he was more worried about his twin brother then anything else. Can't wait to get my first letter from him and many more details.

Also heard from from my son! His dad was leaving the driveway to go to the bank at the time and I wasn't able to catch him. I am not usually so greedy, but I didn't mind having all 5 minutes to myself :o) Adam sounded great, so positive. Said he was major homesick the first five days but is doing better. Praying for your boys everyday.

Just got my call too! My son has been to medical and in SIQ already. He had a viral foot infection, he says it is cleared up now. Now his shoulder is jacked up some how and may have to go to ortho. Hoping it it is just soreness for something from a shot.  He sounded so good and says he loves it and that they are down to 80 in their division now.

Heymomlpn, I will be praying that your son doesn't get sent home. Hang in there, we are all here for you. *BIG HUG*

No kidding heymomlpn, I have been corrected several times already about the way I pronounce it. My Dad is a retired senior chief (27 years) and he has actally been on the real USS Kearsarge, and he has been very quick to correct me everytime, so I'm just going to call it the K ship. LOL

I was looking threw the pictures on my son's phone and found the last one he took. He took it on the bus on the way to Great Lakes at 4:52. Looking at it just made me feel so proud and warm and fuzzy inside.
