Does anyone know when this list was last updated? Seeing as Afghanistan is winding down and Iraq is for the most part over. I know when my son was there two years ago things were sent from...lists...that weren't really needed.
Hi all, I have been busy with my poor mom -- she was having some worrisome medical symptoms and was in the hospital a few days, but she seems much better now.
I don't know yet if I can make it to the packing party. I did just send two boxes of Christmas bags (made by my wonderful Girl Scout troop) for the annual Christmas Project.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to throw this our there. I plan on attending the packing party on December 1st and if anyone is interested in car pooling with me just let me know. I am in Middletown so it's a perfect place to meet up and drive from there. :o)
To all the Connecticut Navy Moms who haven't responded to the S. New England Regional Packing Party (& you know who you are!) --
The location may be out of our comfort zone, but...
Come on everybody! This is for the troops. It'll be the first packing party in December for the month's adoptees. Let's show what hearty, patriotic moms we are and make this one the best ever.
And, CT Moms this party was planned with YOU in mind. We want to give everyone the chance to get involved. So here is your chance. This was the most centrally located, FREE place we could find to have the party. Now 'the ball is in your court'! Won't you consider joining in on the fun?
The response from CT Navy Moms has been - how shall I put this? - pitiful!! We can do a whole lot better. There is always carpooling, so we can split the cost of gas. Come On Everyone, let's get going here.
We are one of the headlines in the Molly's Adopt A Sailor newsletter - "Even Sandy can't stop these hearty Moms." So let's show them what New Englanders are truly made of!! <3
Donna, I hope your surgery goes well and that you're on the mend soon. I'll be praying for you. Hang in there...MJ
Also, sorry I couldn't make it to this regional packing party. Hopefully I'll be at the next one or maybe even host it!
Take good care!
A QUICK NOTE TO YOU ALL regarding the Regional Packing Party:
On Wednesday morning I am having a knee replacement procedure done. It has totally come upon me out of the blue. I thought it was something like sciatica (sp?), but it turned out that my left knee has totally disintegrated. No wonder I was having trouble walking, falling and in terrible pain!
So I won't be able to access a computer, possibly for up to 2 weeks. If you have any questions, please, please feel free to contact Sheryl, her info is in the above discussion, or you can contact CT's own Donna, see her comments below so you will know which Donna she is! (Take note of her picture!!!) Both of the ladies will be able to help I'm sure!! And, I will certainly let you know when I'm back with my beloved computer! lol
Thank you Donna for all your help and for jumping in to give Sheryl a hand so she doesn't have to do this alone. It is the biggest undertaking we've ever done. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH, my new Navy Momma friend!! You go, girl! Love you
And, if you haven't responded yet -- please leave a message in the discussion above. Or contact Donna (not me, CT's Donna!!). See her posts and picture below or in the discussion so you contact the right Donna...
This party is a Definite Go!! So plan to come and have a lot of fun!!!
I discovered yesterday that the coupons were only valid for 3 days - last Saturday, Sunday and Monday!! Sorry about the misunderstanding.
