I have a question about Camp Pendleton.  Sooo....I sent my son those fantastic Fox River Mills socks (4 pair).  They arrived within 3 days of me sending them. That was 5 weeks ago. He still does not have them because he can't get to the post office to pick them up since training doesn't end until AFTER the post office closes.  Is there a post office PO who handles these things? Is there anything I can do about it?  I don't want to create problems but I am a little miffed that he doesn't have these socks that he wanted.  I have not sent him anything else because I am afraid he won't get them. Any suggestions?

Hello gals! Sorry I haven't been on too much lately. Been busy with my youngest son getting ready for marching band competitions to start. Hope you all are doing good.

Marcy...I had a great time with my bff.  She had the anterior procedure and her incision looks good...healing well.  We went on several walks together.

Aw that's so nice of you to take your friend her favorites - and the chocolate :)  My mom had a hip replacement last year, did fine.  It was the anterior procedure (vs lateral incision), less invasive, wonder which your friend had?

Good luck with your movie picks, my son's tastes differ from mine for sure!

Marcy...I am going to get some movies this weekend for the SH project.  I was asking some of my patients who had been in the military for suggestions, keeping in mind the guidelines.  Got some good ones!!  Have fun with your packing/baking party!!!

Kathy...I used to work in my cousin's office in Brentwood. He is a dentist and I worked for him before I moved to the Great NW.

I am going down to Grants Pass, Oregon to visit my bff who just had hip replacement surgery. She requested my home made matzo ball soup and my guacamole...her comfort foods!! I am sure she won't turn down the Moonstruck chocolates either.

TGIF :) Going out to Naval Operations Support Phoenix this weekend to get donations for this month's 'adoption' of the deployed junior sailors on USS Iwo Jima, then our packing party Sunday :)   There's also a special project coming up, sending to the 31st Combat Support Hospital in Dwyer, Afghanistan, if anyone's interested - Special Hugs project, mailing Sept 6-10.

Gonna do my first 'Adopt a Sailor' packing party with Molly.  Probably need to clean the condo.  Still need to pull weeds in my little patch of dirt.  Get to the gym and workout without re-injuring the broken toe.  Laundry.  Such an exciting life I lead!!! Marcy...we need another "Olympics and Dionysus"!

Starting my 2nd (well I started Friday but kiddos started yesterday) day of student teaching. :) Probably a lame weekend for me haha waiting for bf to text/call this weekend (went on their hike a ma bob on wednesday), probably some laundry (if they bring back our machines), clean the apt, work on school things, organize, and probably just relax. Glad I don't have to be at marching band on the weekends anymore hahaha. Happy Friday All!

Good morning everyone! My plans for the weekend are going to a scrimmage football game at the high school tonite to watch the marching band play for the first time this season. I still have one son at home and is in the marching band so my weekends will be full of marching band competitions and home football games for a few months. LOL On Saturday I am spending time with the family. Sunday is house cleaning time. Busy weekend for me. Have a great day everyone!
