thanks, you too :)  We had quite the dust storm yesterday afternoon. I took this from my car as I was trying to beat it home - which I did, thankfully.  This is why we pack Q-tips in our care packages to the sandbox - imagine what our guys go through...awful...

RIP HM3 Beauchamp. Prayers and thoughts are with his family and friends and with the Navy and Marines at this time.

This morning, let us honor our corpsman, Petty Officer 3rd Class Clayton R. Beauchamp, of Weatherford, Texas, who died Aug. 7 when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device while conducting a dismounted patrol in the Shaban District, Helmand Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 6, 1st Marine Division (Forward), I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), Camp Pendleton, Calif.  Prayers for his loved ones; rest in peace, Sailor.

The journey we parents take is not always an easy one with our children... My son has been a Navy Corpsman for 3 1/2 years and has been deployed twice with his Marines..  My Navy Journey started back in 2002 when my oldest daughter joined.. I also have a Combat Medic : ) Like I said never easy ... My son was stationed at CL his contract was up with the Marines and said " I just want to be Navy now "... I'm cool with that...

Txbabydocmom I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It is an experience to be a mom or significant other or dad of a greenside corpsman. My son has been at CP since January and loves it. Tell your son good luck with A school. I know that you were a godsend when my son was in A school. You do know a lot about the initial HM training. Hopefully we can help here also. It is scarey yet rewarding.

txbabydocmom...so glad you are here! Y'all should know she is really really knowledgeable about the HM training!!
