Best Mother's Day Gift ever!!!  My son facetimed me with the news he earned his FMF pin - pinning ceremony was yesterday afternoon.  Pride x infinity!!  So happy for him!  Navajosunshine - you'll be getting the same news before you know it!!!  Good luck to your corpsman!

Hi Tiffany110491 and chunkypr5,

My son graduated from FTMB at Camp Pendleton this past March and is currently on his first deployment (he left last month). Since deployed, he's been working his eligibility of an FMF pin. I'm proud of him and all the hard work he's done and is still doing.

So did you get to attend your son's April 15 graduation, chunkypr5?  Hope you enjoyed it and took lots of pictures.

Tiffany110491, I've just driven through 29 Palms and the town looks like it has good places to use - restaurants, stores, gas stations, and I'm sure more. But I'm sure during the summer time it is exceptionally hot. Overall I'm sure it will be good, and you'll be right there with your husband :)

Hi there! I'm new to this group. My corpsman son is at 29 Palms with the 2/7. He has a horrible time receiving mail. We've used his base address, his buddy let him borrow the PO box, and no matter what, it takes 2 months or so for him to have mail in hand. If anything is sent Fedex or UPS and is not routed through the Twentynine Palms town post office first, to get a USPS tracking number/stamp, it is refused by the base post office. Does anyone have any tips? Does anyone know who I should call to file a complaint? He's been there for a year and leaves for the Middle East in August or September. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks!

Corpsman son home from 2nd trip to that horrible sandy place! He and all the Marines are safe and sound - thank goodness! Soon he's off to Rota, Spain. Anyone with tips or suggestions?
