You can send packages and letters and there is no restriction on envelope color. Be aware that they are out in the field a lot and they don't always get mail in a timely fashion. My son's Stryker socks were there for 4 weeks before the Petty Officer PO got around to pick them up.

My HN - E3 sailor just made it into CP and started FMTB this week.  I've seen some videos and I have no idea how the all do this!  Does anyone know if we are back to just white envelopes or can care packages be sent to them?

Happy Friday all! Sorry that I have been absent as of late. Things are a little crazy at my house right now. Thought I would check in and welcome all the new people. I am just waiting for my son to get home now. Next month he will be home from his first deployment so I am anxiously awaiting that. Hope you all have a great day.

Thanks Tenn Navy Mom for posting this. So true...their sacrifice is not forgotten. When at Anderson Hall last year, I spent time reading each and everyone of the memorials posted on the wall. So powerful.

First and foremost HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you great moms out there. Second it finally happened. He got officially got his pin. He can wear it proudly now. Took them over 3 weeks to finally get the paperwork through and get the ceremony done. One happy mommy today. I have a great weekend so far. My youngest graduated yesterday from high school and today my corpsman got his FMF pin. What a wonderful weekend it has been. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hi Marcy, I'm glad to be here...:-)  For those that don't know me, my son is an FMF Corpsman who deployed in 2011 to the sandbox and is headed back to the sandbox now for his 2nd deployment!
