Good morning FMF moms! FMF dad here, congrats to all the new FMF Corpsman. My son earned his last year in the sandbox. He's been stateside a year in November already, time really does fly. He got new orders soon after getting home and is now blueside close to home and we love it, but he warned us not to get to comfortable thinking he won't be deployed again because even though he wears peanut butters now he's still FMF and would be in demand. The only constant in the Navy is change. LOL.

Definitely Mamawalrus. We do need to stick together. These guys are a special breed of corpsman. We are always here for each other no matter what. We are a special breed of moms. We give our kids to the Navy and the Marines and pray for the best.

Can you PM me the address as well?  We have to stick together as this is a special kind of Sailor and us moms supporting each other is a big deal to me.  I want our Sailors to feel that as well and know they are appreciated.

Marcy that would be great. I so love these guys. They are all amazing. I have the utmost respect for them. I'll pm you the address. It will go to my son and then he'll pass it out from there. Thanks a million in advance.

I am so fortunate that my corpsman is not in harm's way.  Please tell him they're in our thoughts and prayers all the time.

MedicMom, would it be ok with you if I sent off a box to him and his guys?

Comment by medic mom on February 11, 2013 at 7:12pm

Thank you Tenn Navy mom. Actually I am doing pretty good so far. I have put my faith and trust in God and his Marines. Praying that he stays safe. He is very homesick. I practically chat with him every other day right now. Helps a lot.

Thank you Tenn Navy Mom for getting me back on here. I need to stay on here more for the support of you all.  My son just earned his FMF last week and will be getting pinned on his deployment in the next week.  I had not talked to him since Christmas but he did send me a few message via FB.   BUT today I was awakened by a phone call from him at 5:45 this morning.. of course it was the next day his time. LOL     Talk about being surprised. It was so nice to hear from him finally. We had not talked with him since Christmas.

I hope everyone is doing well..

Medicmom....good luck to your son.  Do you know when he is going to retake board ?
