Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. If you are traveling, safe travels to you.
Cool, ask him, who knows, he just might show
I have spent more time with him since he went into the Navy then before. My husband said it's time to cut the umbilical cord. HaHa. I just thought it would be nice of them to help at Op Gratitude since they were going to be in town. I have a feeling he will be coming home a lot, since he is so close. I am not bailing out, looking forward to it.
Personally, I will forgive you if you bail out of Op Gratitude and spend the time with him. But, Mom knows best, so do what is right for you and your son
My son checked into San Diego Naval Hospital last Monday (his duty station), we weren't doing anything on Sunday so we made a day trip down to San Diego to take him some stuff he hadn't thought to take with him. He took us down to the pier to see the ships, there are a lot of Navy Ships sitting down there, it was pretty cool, we also shopped at the NEX, had lunch and dinner with him. He now tells me he has a 4 day weekend and he is bringing a friend home with him for Thanskgiving, should I make them come to Operation Gratitude and volunteer there time?
Thank you Elizabeth, I'm planning on attending the Jan Meet n' Greet. For any Moms that will be in GC 12/1 there will be a Meet N' Greet @ 7pm @ Applebee's in Summerville. Message me & I'll send you me cell & email.
DevilDoc, I now see you are already a member of this group. I'm glad to know.
Wow! Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Have a busy weekend planned. Thursday afternoon dinner at my brother's house in OC, Friday work, Saturday morning volunteering Operation Gratitude, lunch at Chili's with elizabeth, and I hope DevilDoc?, (anyone else?), later that night -Italian potluck with hubby's side of the family. Somewhere squeezing in Skype with son and DIL to see their house in Goose Creek. Wishing they were here, but think they are excited to try to tackle a Thanksgiving dinner on their own.
MomofNuke, congratulations to you and your son on his graduation from Power School. I hope you can make it to the Meet & Greet in Jan.
MomofNuke, going to see your son graduate Power School is an awesome reason to miss this. It is really only happening because so many people are volunteering. Hope that we will see you at the Jan 21 Meet & Greet, which is the original first M&G for us.
