hmmmm, I now need to make a decision.  Was planning on volunteering afternoon 26Nov.   Now, cousin from No Calif says they will be in LA and want to see us on the same day...... If I do the morning, will I still end up seeing you afternoon volunteers?

Devil Doc, yes I am at home in Chats.

Thank you Devil Doc Mom and thank you to your son. Thank you to all the other families and their children that are serving our country.

My son leaves for SD on Monday also.  He has been sleeping most of today since he did a  24 hour ride along with his Uncle a LA Fireman, enjoying every call they went out on.  The Battalion Chief told him he is welcome to come and ride along when ever he wants, the paramedics loved him,: some good hands on training for a new Hospital Corpsman.

"Molly's Adopt A Sailor" needs your participation in a $3million dollar giveaway from Chase, to charities.  The group with the highest number of votes for their organization will get $250,000.   Please vote for Molly's Adopt A Sailor, Chase Community Giving/Molly's Adopt A Sailor.

Molly's Adopt A Sailor, could do a lot for our Sailor's with those dollars.

Thank you.

BANDITO'SMOM:  Congratulations to the new Sailor and you! I hope he is wrong too and gets to come home for Christmas.

I'm leaving tomorrow for a two week R&R with my parents in Idaho. Will miss reading my email and N4M's unless I can get on there computer once in awhile.

I did get to go to Port Hueneme last Friday to see my son graduate A school and become a Seabee.  The ceremony was only about 20 minutes but very nice.  I was the only civilian there but they all made me feel very comfortable.  Eleven new Seabee's, seemed like a great group of men (and one woman). He reports tomorrow back to Port Hueneme as his duty station for further orders.

I looked for when you signed up and thought it was afternoon, so that is when I signed up.

Enjoy your time with your son.  Mine just texted me that he may not get xmas time this year.  I am still hoping that he is wrong.  Will know more when he actually goes to indoc tomorrow.

Congratulations Bandito'sMom on your sons PIR.  Did you sign up for morning or afternoon.  I think wearing a sticker with N4M Los Angeles is a good idea.

My son and I are driving back to So. Cal tomorrow, he will be home for another week.

Back from an absolutely thrilling PIR!!!! Wow! My son is now in Goose Creek and fully expects to be home on Wednesday to finish packing up and then he and DIL will drive across country.  They have been told that they should get 5 days at xmas, but we know we won't see them on Thanksgiving.  Going to my brothers that day.

I have now signed up to volunteer on the afternoon Nov26 for Operation Gratitude.  Elizabeth, we will need to find someway to identify ourselves so we can actually meet.  Sorry, this will probably be the only one that I can commit to do.
