Bandito's Mom,  I will message you my number & yes, please harass me.  I would have gone regardless of the other chaos, but my life has been so crazy (60 hour work weeks since returning from vacation end of December + other crazy stuff) I didn't even look at my calendar.

Comment by Bandito's Mom on January 26, 2012 at 11:42am

MomofNuke, I know, life gets that way.  M&G weekend was completely packed for me.  But so worth taking the time out and having a chance to chat with other Navy Moms.  Everyone was so proud of their Sailor, all the experiences were just a bit different, I am really looking forward to the next one. Message me your number, will harass you if you want!

I can't believe I missed it.  It was on my calendar & I was planning on attending, just now discovered I missed it.  Things have been so wild in my life the M&G fell through the cracks.  For April 28 I need to give you my phone Number just in case things are still crazy.

A quick note for you on here though.

The Discussion Forum has an "Edit" button as well as the Text Box area.

Click it.

The first thing you can do is show how the discussions display. Details or Titles. You can then go on and change those features in the other boxes below display.

For the PIR groups I choose Titles only and 20 ( the max) showing. Takes up a lot of the page but helps in the PIR groups.

Bandito's Mom - Sorry I was away from the site yesterday...much needed family time and a nap for me!

Well...you got the pic yourself! YAY! Looks great!

Tell you what I am going to send some info to both you and Elizabeth...that way you can continue on with whatever changes you like. I keep all of my info like this in a word.doc. Just highlight, copy and paste. I will remain on "stand by" status.

Glad you all had a great time and I hope to make the next M & G.

Comment by Bandito's Mom on January 22, 2012 at 2:47pm

Wow Sara-kay, sounds like you had your own M&G!

I know how precious those last few days before BC are, no apologies needed.  Would love to see you and those other 4 moms/dads at the next M&G.

We are open to having the location a bit further north, but need someone to scout a place.   So for now, mark your calendar for 28April and we will advise time and place later.

Another Mom was at our event who's son isn't leaving until March.  By the time we have our next M&G, yours will be out of BC, and her's will be 1/2 way thru.  Another Mom's Sailor will be home from his first deployment.  Nice to have a wide range of experiences in the group.  Really helps to keep everything in perspective.

Sorry, couldn't attend the Meet & Greet, but hope to in the future.  Our son leaves for boot camp Tuesday.  We live in Simi Valley and had a gathering at our home on MLK day of 4 families whose sons are all shipping out at the same time.

Comment by Bandito's Mom on January 22, 2012 at 2:35pm

FTLW, would love a picture for the group and maybe one for the Events  I am going to add next Meet & Greet to the Events Page, should I wait for a pic or can you add one after I add the to the Page?

Comment by Bandito's Mom on January 22, 2012 at 2:31pm

Had a really nice Meet & Greet yesterday.  Small but a great start.  Chatted about our experiences and feelings, gained new perspectives as everyone has had just a bit different experience.  Hope we can expand the number of people who show up and grow this to be a strong core group.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on January 21, 2012 at 4:43pm

You are welcome..is there anything you would like me to do?

I can send you and Elizabeth the "How to's" and then just help or just let me know and I will do whatever you want!

Hope you are all having a great time...sorry I couldn't come...finally feeling "on the mend"!
