For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello
It has been a long time since I have posted and I am sorry. I hope everyone has been able to connect with others in the PACT program. My son is now 3 and a half years in and it has been a great experience. He thought he wanted to be an AM. When he got on the ship, he was put with the AO’s. Now he is an AD3. It was best for him to start PACT because we didn’t know much about the Navy and he wasn’t sure what he wanted to do. This has been a good route for him.

When my son was in A school in P'cola, we skyped everyday. It was wonderful!. Now that he is on a ship in Norfolk, no cell service except on the hanger bay. He said alot of sailors there making calls. Or I get a call as he is walking to Pizza Hut off the ship on his lunch break.. lol... I get to hear what he orders all the time....lol.

Splash, my daughter went straight to Camp Pendleton Marine base for 4 years. It has a small Navy detachment there (ACU5). She only worked with the Navy, never had anything to do with the Marines. Then her detachment was assigned to a ship and went on deployment.
Coronado is a Navy base with some Marines detachments. I'm guessing but, I believe you daughter will be working as support for a Marine detachment. She will most likely work with only Navy. Then she will go as part of that detachment to a ship that carriers Marines while on deployment.
After my daughter left Pendleton she was then assigned to a ship in San Diego. She has been there 3 years, she is now on deployment in the Middle East. Once again there are more Marien's then sailors on her ship.
Remember what Marine stands for...............

Vickie360 every time I go to church I cry the entire time. I thonk most of us moms felt somewhat like you do. We never knew when the feelings would come pouring out. We are dropping her off on base now and going home. Uggh!

Vickie360. The first few weeks are the most difficult. It gets a little easier as the weeks pass. Are you going to PIR?
