For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to all Anticipating PIR 10/7/2011!!

This group is for those with loved ones who had PIR on 10/07/2011. (PIR is short for Pass-in-Review and just means graduate from Boot Camp.)

It was an amazing ceremony, an amazing opportunity to see our Sailors perform and participate as an entire group, amazing to hear that wonderful Liberty call and completely overwhelming to get those long awaited hugs.

It is our desire that this Group will provide the information, encouragement, and support you need while your loved one continues their Navy Journey. We are hoping you will continue to come back and update everyone on that journey and continue to seek support and encouragement from friends you have already made here.

Enjoy your time here and feel free to Comment and join in the Discussions. Be sure to check out the information in the "Pages" section to the right. This is information that will be of interest to all Members. (You will need to click on "View All" to see all of them.)

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on August 19, 2011 at 5:46pm: Ladies-I have to apologize for being MIA for a while. You see my DH came home from a six month tour in Iraq about 5 weeks ago. Post-deployment is...real. As is Pre-deployment-or what I equal to h*** on earth-and the actual deployment. So been busy reconnecting and adjusting- but EXTREMELY happy!

Even though separation is hard we have been blessed to make our marriage stronger...even after 31 years together. It can be done ladies!

God is good.

Once that is done, I will set up the rest of the discussions for you. Micka - your discussion group is set up - so I think if you would start something in there, we can get some others to join you. NavyMomX's2, sounds like we will be adding a discussion for 333,334 - So I'm getting ready to add that discussion right now.
