Welcome to all Anticipating PIR 10/7/2011!!

This group is for those with loved ones who had PIR on 10/07/2011. (PIR is short for Pass-in-Review and just means graduate from Boot Camp.)

It was an amazing ceremony, an amazing opportunity to see our Sailors perform and participate as an entire group, amazing to hear that wonderful Liberty call and completely overwhelming to get those long awaited hugs.

It is our desire that this Group will provide the information, encouragement, and support you need while your loved one continues their Navy Journey. We are hoping you will continue to come back and update everyone on that journey and continue to seek support and encouragement from friends you have already made here.

Enjoy your time here and feel free to Comment and join in the Discussions. Be sure to check out the information in the "Pages" section to the right. This is information that will be of interest to all Members.  (You will need to click on "View All" to see all of them.)

Please review the Community Guidelines and keep OPSEC in mind when you post. If you would not want an enemy to know something, then do not post it here because this is NOT a secure site and the enemy lurks. Please do not post your Sailor's last name and NEVER his/her full name. Also do not use your full name, especially if your last name is the same as your Sailor's. If your Sailor provides specific information about events that will occur, please keep that to yourself and do not post the day/time on here since this information may be sensitive and is not to be shared.

Thanks fireteamleaderwife!  I will look at that, and I can't take credit for all of the wonderful information posted on the pages, but must give that over to my new buddy lemonelephat!  She is amazing and I love her already!  I will look at the countdown clocks in a bit as well - those are certainly fun.  Love those ribbons LaLa - defintely going to order some of those for our family!

KathyMmom- Oh, if you want to change the photo from the three blue mom's dianne usually has some good links to Navy pics that you could pick from.

Also, here is a link to a couple of countdown clocks.

Looks like I won't need to post my regular info dianne, most of it is already on the "pages"! Great job on organizing your group KathyMmom! But I'll still be here to add if needed and answer question and lend a shoulder, smile or virtual hug!

The post for LaLa's beautiful ribbons for PIR and dianne's Battlestations is also on the "pages" right under all of your pretty faces and pictures to the right---> and up!

The Divisional discussions that are started above provide a place for you to get to know the ladies that have SR (Seaman Recruits) that are in the same division as yours. BUT please make sure you are checking in on the main pages here...this is where the "veterans" mostly stay to help you. RTC (Recruit Training Command) runs about sevenTG (Training Groups) at a time so we are busy hopping around as well as a few other groups that we are involved with.

Looking forward to meeting all of you here and it's an honor to "serve".

KathyMMom:  As you can see, the "N4M veteran team" is joining quickly.  Fireteam and Lala are wonderful...as are Sandy and Betsy who should be joining soon. You will have lots of help!

Depending on the number of divisions in this group, you may consider starting the division groups with them paired as "brother divisions."  This is because they train with that division and go through BattleStations together....so it is kind of nice for the moms of both divisions to "get to know one another."  But if this is a small group of just 5-7 divisions, it may be nicer to keep the division discussions separate.  Just up to you!

By the way, Lala is the "ribbon queen" and will be posting about her beautiful PIR ribbons that the ladies can order.  Fireteam is the "info queen" and will be able to post lots of info on here for you.  I will go ahead and post my BattleStations info for now.

Diannep - no - I copied it all from another PIR group, and limped through with help from another savy N4M.  In fact, I feel somewhat inept, but once I get all of the division information from the RTC page on our PIR (http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp),  The only one I'm sure of right now is 947.  I'm hoping to start a discussion group for each division for this group.  Any help or suggestions you have to offer are most welcome.

Thanks for starting this group, KathyMmom!  Your info is so complete....are you a N4M veteran?  I am here as a N4M veteran to help in any way that I can.
