JustMe from NJ: Last I talked to my son classes started either Monday or Friday of this week. The were going to classes a little low on numbers because they weren't expected anymore sailors before the holiday. He did mention that he thought he would be home Dec 16 for 2 weeks! I am so excited my other son will be home at the same time! Marvel Mom is a tribute to me son the Marvel fan. That is how I got the name.

Hey Diane, My son is also in sc as a nuke waiting to start.  He is currently washing windows. Lol.  Couldn't get him to do that at home.  But I guess the Navy pays more.  I bet our boys are friends.  My son says he hangs out with some of the other kids he graduated from GL with on 10/21.  He has been making some pretty good friends. Is your son an MM, EM or ET?  Mine is an EM. Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Marvelmom:  Is your sailor in class in San Antonio or was he held a week also??

By the way, when I see your name I'm reminded of my friend who's last name is Marvel.  Believe it or not, her father in law was a police Captain in Newark, NJ -- therefore making him "Captain Marvel".  For real -- no kidding  :)

PMSingMom - I hope your migraine eases up.  One of the good things about menopause -- migraines are now infrequent.  Almost forgot about the pre-migraine aura's.  We were driving in NYC, helping my son move from one apartment to another --- I started having flashing spots in my peripheral vision and couldn't understand why anyone would have a firework display in the middle of a weekday.  Oh damn, .... it's a migraine on the horizon!  I guess aside from less migraines, menopause makes ya stupid too.  lol

diane - I spoke to my son today.  He is in San Antonio for A-school.  He had one week of classes and then they were told 1/2 of the class will not resume until the next group of sailors get there in another week.  So .... in the meantime, they are also doing grounds work (trash, landscaping, sweeping).  No wonder the bases are so clean.  LOL  Does anyone else have a sailor in San Antonio who graduated on 10/21 ??

Can someone help me? I've been in bed for 3 days with a migrane and the computer, and this phone hurts my eyes. My son said he will be home for 11 days at chrismas, but its 1100 miles away. He's in CT. He said he talked to his chief yrstetfay and he was told yes. But now reading this I'm confused. If someone has 5 minutes and you know the answer can you let me know?
