For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son left 8/23-Ship 11, div 349. I'm hoping this is his graduation date. Got my "box" on Friday--sure wasn't expecting it so soon.

Hi Cheryl- Welcome! My Daughter left the 22nd. I'm with you...I can't wait to make plans either! I can't take credit for the countdown clock. Fireteamleaderswife helped She did a great job.

Hopefully this will be my sr's PIR,she left on the 24th.Can't wait to start making plans.

I also flew into Milwaukee and like Sandy said, it took us just about 45 minutes to get to the Residence Inn in Waukegan . We also flew in town during afternoon rush hour and the drive was still easy peasy. I highly recommend flying into Milwaukee.

Diannep, We flew into Milwaukee for PIR and out Via Midway. Hated the drive to Midway it was hell. (pardon my French.) The drive from Milwaukee Airport (General Johnston I think is the name) was a breeze. It took us exactly 45 minutes and that is with traffic.
