Betsy, I meant to say "fingers and toes are crossed for NavyMom."   Haven't had my coffee yet.

NavyMom, I hope you get your letter real soon. I live in Colorado so it took a bit longer for me to get my letter.

Betsy fingers and toes are crossed here for you.

NavyMom, Like Betsy said. I would wait for the Form Letter. The first couple of weeks in boot camp are a bit nuts. During processing days, the Navy is organizing all the SR into their divisions. This can take up to 2 weeks. I have a friend who's husband got put into another division during week 2 of boot camp. He had to mail her his new address. Everything worked out ok.

I'll have my fingers  and toes crossed for you too.  :)

TY Betsy...I'm keeping my fingers crossed that letter comes tomorrow!!

No prob.  I can't take credit for the countdown timer or weather info. I asked Fireteamleaderswife to help. TY Fire...it looks great!

The Veteran Moms on this site have been a great source of info & help. They are monitoring this site also to help answer any questions we may have.

NavyMom, sometimes the address that the recruiter gets is not the right one.  They are in processing for the first week and will or may not be in their permanent ship.  We recommend that you wait for the address on the form letter from your SR.  I know how hard it is to wait, but in the long run, it's best because you know you have the correct address.   When my son went in BC, I called the recruiter and I was given a wrong address.  It's so frustrating because then you are worried that they may not receive their mail.

jkruth, welcome!

Thanks for creating the group. At least we have a countdown now. My daughter left 8/23. I also miss her like crazy. I will give the form letter a couple more days before I call her recruiter. I just hate waiting. If we had the letter and some info at least I could be planning stuff. Would make me feel like I am getting closer to seeing her

@jkruth-I haven't received a letter yet either. Keeing my fingers crossed for tomorrow. My daughter left on 08.22.11.  Miss her like crazy!   I'm tempted to contact recruiter tomorrow to get her address. I heard they can get address before we receive letter.

I'm thinking our daughters should be in the same division.
