This is going to be a great week for you all. Safe travels this week!!!
Whew! Longest 8 weeks of my entire life and I think I've held mt breath for all of it. Congrats to all the new sailors and those of us who have survived on this end! :)
leftwayleft: I sent you a message. If he indeed as been removed from this PIR group, as the PAO told you, then he will not return to this group. 07/06 is his new PIR group. If that was an error on their part and he is still in the 06/29 group, that would be different. But sounds like he has been moved. I just don't understand why he wasn't allowed to call you with that change? That is a MUST!
My son was delayed a week also when there and he called me when he was moved, with new PIR/division info where he would be once training again, and then again when he actually resumed training...he was actually only delayed a week instead of the two weeks they thought, so when he called me upon resuming training, the new PIR group info was a week ahead of the original info he gave me. Quite confusing!
As far as SRs doing BattleStations the night before PIR and being in the stands too tired to march...that is only for the ones in that PIR group who didn't pass the PFA until right before PIR and had to do BattleStations the night before PIR. It doesn't mean they can jump back into their original PIR group. Once moved, they stay there.
Just wondering if anyone know if they are flag holders, do they practice with the previous PIR graduates that graduate one week earlier?
leftwayleft I remember reading the same thing as you. That recruits who have had problems passing different steps along the way - can (might) actually be at their regular schedule PIR - but in the balconies. however - I thought I saw somewhere that they re-assigned you son to another ship/div. Not knowing any differently, this would say to me, due to his recovery, the Navy believes he needs to move to the next week - as others have said - for his success. It is sad to hear about your job and time off issues. I hope it works out. If not, I bet the N4M's on 7/6 are just as great as the ones here and would be willing to help you out as much as they can. Best wishes.
Leftwayleft, when my son was put into a different division due to fractures, he was not able to graduate with his first division because he had to make up the days that he was at RCU. (Recruit Care Unit) The best advice I received during that time was to stay positive for my recruit and keep encouraging him. I'm sorry to hear that not everyone passed and my heart goes out to those that are ill. Praying for them to get better soon. Congrats to all the new sailors also.
:):):)
No News is Good News, CLAMOM! :-)
He will have PIR, leftwayleft. He is not in FIT, he is actually in another PIR group. SO no worries! Just hope he is totally healthy soon!
