Lala: GOOD NEWS! You can order the "dogs" below on Lowes online. Just found them on there. Just put in "dog statue" in the search box once on the lowes website. Under $20! So cute. They can just ship to you!
Lala, they are just adorable.
This is what several of my friends were able to find at Lowes. But none of them around here have them. I am hopiing to find one somewhere else so I can give one to my Sailor. She has a Golden Retriever Service Dog that belonged to her late sister-in-law. My friends painted the US Navy on the Cover but these are super cute and would look great by the front porch :-)
This is our dog, Lady, in my son's Navy DEP shirt. I sent him this picture while he was in BC. So ladies, see you can get pretty creative with your letters and ideas. My son loved this one.
Thanks Lala, I will check it out on your site.
TenaciousDee, What? Doesn't your husband realize that there is never too much Navy paraphernalia. lol I am posting a picture of my foyer in my house, just to show you what I mean. The hat belongs to my husband, but until my son comes home, it will stay on our little bear. :)
The only thing I have heard that may be considered negative about staying at the Gateway Inn and Suites on base is that if you are not the one with the Military ID you are not allowed to go anywhere outside the hotel alone. The person carrying the ID must be with you at all times. Not really a negative, it just could be a little confining.
Thanks Diannep, Lala and Ellen. My husband is retired Air Force so we have a military ID card in our party. Right now I have reservations at both places - trying to figure out which one to cancel.
Betsy, I do have the window decals and those can be made into magnets if you like. They are not the cling type but they are pretty easy to remove from a car window with a razor. I have done it several times lol. I have them on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Unique-Memory-Makers/204119052936924 and they are also on my website http://www.uniquememorymakers.com/ Unlike the window stickers you get from a store these are made with high quality vinyl that won't fade in the sun :-)
You can order online I'm sure....I'm putting our's up today. Harold said maybe it will be too much with two flags, but they are going up no matter! Lol...I also bought sticker for my truck so I guess I'll be washing my truck today so I can put it on. I want the Navy door mat....! I've already bought two Navy shirts: a Navy Mom and I Love My Sailor....and I'm even thinking of buying a Navy dog collar and anchor tag for my dog! My son is going to think I've lost my mind!
Twinzplus, the Navy Gateway is on base and someone in your party and staying there must have a military ID. The Navy Lodge is not on base, but located in the family housing area and the reservation is made in your SRs name.
If you call the Navy Lodge to make a reservation tell them you are coming for PIR.
