For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by smokie (ship12 Div 203) on July 1, 2012 at 8:09pm: It was exhausting like Marcy said. The ceremony was awesome, I am so proud of those sailors. We all cried, have your tissues ready!! They looked great in the uniforms. I got 2 days with my son and family before A school in Pensacola today. I would recommend the Residence Inn- very clean, breakfast every morning, a pool, work out room and basketball court.The taxi from the Inn took us to graduation without any issues that morning and took us back with our sailor. The lower level filled up quickly but my husband and son got to sit there and myself and my other son sat in upper level. You get great pics in upper level. It was cool but it was in the high 90's that day. That first hug I did not want to let go, but you have to. I already took my pictures to get developed. I am so proud of those Sailors!!!!!!!! Here we go again ladies with another phases A school. It was very hard to say goodbye after being with him.

Comment by Dan on June 30, 2012 at 8:00pm: PIR was great. Advise to park at train station at 5:30am worked great. We were second in line for PIR morning. Then ate at Bull Dogs, in Libertyville. Great burgers. Sailor really enjoyed. Hadn't had a real meat burger since BC started.
Thanks for all the great advice. Oh, and Sarge's meet and greet was grear also.

She has changed so much, and I love what she has become!! Thank you everyone for the love and support. Looking forward to her A School in Pensacola for Aircrew!!
