While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by tatmom4rc(Ship12, Div. 204) on May 29, 2012 at 11:51pm: LaurieS - My SR said they had "earned" their first flag and that they are very focused on success and they all want the "Hall of Fame" flag. He said their RDC was good - he has seen harder ones and easier ones - but he was happy with who he has. My son failed the running part of his PFA - said he went by in time but the person recording it looked too late. He is confident he will be OK when they try again.

They wer designing their flag, he likes their RDC, the food's good, and he's looking forward to PIR. They're on week 2 day 5. I actually thought they were a little further along, but he said they were right on track. He also thinks that they have a chance at the hall of fame flag, it sounds like their RDC thinks so too! Today's call was much better than last weeks. Much better. :)

tatmom: They call those the "peanut butters'. Well, WE do! HA! That is the uniform with the khaki shirt/black pants. For those staying in GL for A School, this is what they wear the 2nd day of liberty. They wear the whites for all of PIR day.

He got some medication. Working hard. I was so glad I was home. He said the letters help alot, keep them coming. He wants to know about the NBA and family. He is learning and meeting alot of people. He said he wrote me a letter it should come soon. They made the flag for thier division. He ordered a T shirt with it. He got 2nd class in swimming. He loves to swim. They are starting weapon training. He is doing service as ship watch

But have anyone gotten a call from Div 195? It has been 4 weeks and 5 days. I just want to hear my SR voice. We have gotten 2 positive letter. That is helpin things a lot. Thank you ladies for all of your support.
