Thanks for the advice, Lala!  ;)  We should have waited...it was crazy hot.   I just heard the weather forcast for next weekend, sunny and mid 70's.  Isn't that the way it goes?

ReneeBC be careful out that there. Drink lots and lots and lots of water to wash down that pea soup :-)

Julie.....great to hear that you were able to chat with both your boys!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial day weekend!!!!!

Good morning.

If your SRs are race fans, you can tell them in your letters that heat will be a major factor on the track today.  We are expecting the temps to be in the mid 90's, which will be a new record for the Indy 500. (and the track index will probably be over 100)  This will effect the track and drivers greatly as well as race fans.  Hoping for a safe race!

We're not going this year because we are painting the exterior of our house today.  Uhg.  (We'll have to be satisified with listening to the race on the radio.)Did I mention a heat index of 100?...Indiana humidity is like breathing pea soup!  Maybe we're nuts! LOL

Have a great day, everyone.

I am sorry I have been away a lot for the last couple of days. Graduation was awesome and we had a wonderful party afterwards. Today we are all going for a drive across the Blue Ridge Parkway and going into Cherokee for a little shopping and a picnic. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Dear PIR groups,

Sorry I have been MIA…Hubby has been sick (bronchitis…he had it bad) and then we were getting new appliances…bookshelves (I am a bookaholic ) so LOTS of Chores!

I have some PM’s to get too…sorry for the delay…Hubby took the other “men” (our three sons” to a Guy night with Church buds so the testosterone levels have dropped and I can think now! LOL Hugs to everyone!

Good morning all!  Hopefully, lots of letters will be mailed out on Tues.  Remember, normally they go out on Monday, but with Memorial Day, it will back up a day.  So look for letters towards the end of next week!

They will have "Sunday" routine on Memorial Day.

Marcy, my son is in Div 197 and I have yet to receive a call. I noticed from reading the posts on FB (SHIP 11 DIV 197 (PIR 6/29/12) the some have received calls...I haven't yet though..

Comment by ReneeBC on May 25, 2012 at 9:14pm

Alicia,

I'm so glad you received letters!  How are things going for the guys in 204?  Do you know what training day they are on?  I just keep telling everyone to share what they learn about div 203/204.  I haven't received a letter from Dillon, yet.  I'm more than a little bummed, but all I can do is wait.  If they can only send mail out on Sunday, I probably won't get a letter until next week.  It doesn't take THAT long for a letter to get from the Chicago area to the  Indianapolis area! LOL
