Has anyone in 197 received a call from their SR yet? Just wondering if they have reached their "Call" week.

Your welcome, Marcyl.

We'll all have to come up with a plan for meeting one another at PIR (or meet n greet).  I don't think "I'll be the mom with a big smile and a pkg of tissues." is going to work, do you?  LOL  I'm truly looking forward to meeting you, too.

Ok, marcy.  You will find another great group of ladies here in this group too!  Welcome!

Marcyl,  I'm glad to see you back.  I hope you are doing well after your family loss.  My son has the same PIR 6/29, but is in a different DIV (203).  He is, however, going to Pensacola for A school (Aircrew).  Have you joined the Pensacola A school group, yet?  I hope to see you there as well!

Good Morning Ladies! I am new to this PIR Group. My daughter was in PIR 6/22 (Div 189) but is now in 6/29 (Div197). I am sad to leave the great moms I met in 6/22, but I know there are just as many great moms here in 6/29. We are from Utah and my daughter will be going to Pensacola, Fl for A School (Air Crew). If there is a FB page for this group, please let me know.

I aked my SR yesterday when he called were his boots bothering him at all and he said they were fine...he said that it took awhile for him to get used to him but that he didn't have any blisters.....so, that's a good thing....being that I didn't know at the time what you guys were sending band aids for :-) LOL..

Comment by diannep on May 25, 2012 at 10:40am

I agree with Ellen on the "fat" envelopes....better to send things separately in envelopes than to make them fat...and like she said, if it doesn't feel like "a letter" that is inside, then it will have to be opened.  So don't try to sneak them anything that they aren't allowed to have!  The rule of thumb is usually to send something if they ask for it because they most likely got that "cleared" before asking.  If they didn't ask permission, oh well!  They'll be sure not to do that again!

It is best to scan pictures onto the back of your letters or on a separate sheet...rather than sending actual photos.  They take up alot of storage space (that they don't have!) and actual pictures may necessitate them opening letters in front of the RDCs. There are rules on the types of pictures they can receive....I'm mainly speaking to the wives/gfs/fiances!  Ahem!  :-)  Pet pictures, by the way, are all-time favorites to be received!
