mareluc- in my son's letter which was date 5/14 he mentioned that he would be taking the physical fitness test the next day and that he had heard if they don't pass it that it would not count against them??..idk.....he did mention that the tests consisted of 50 push ups, 50 sit ups and that they had to run a mile and a half in 12 minutes....so maybe what he meant is that they would be able to take it again if they didn't pass it...........

adrienne - i think its the physical fitness test - he said something about having to pee and he lost time and he was breaking up so not sure what happened.  I also found out from other moms in the Div that they got in trouble today and instead of getting their allotted time for phone calls they only had like 15 min so there was a couple who were down and homesick

I hope all of the SR's start to feel better :(

I haven't had a phone call yet.

My son called today too!  He was very down and homesick - did  not expect this at all - his letter was so positive last week - very down right now :(   Please please tell me he will get better! He also said he failed his pft test cause he had to pee - not sure he was breaking up on phone and said he lost time and then someone yelled and he said I have to go!

Shelly,

Somehow I missed your post.  I'm so happy for your long phone call!! ( though your son isn't well)   Let's hope touching base with home makes him feel a lot better!   37 days!!

I know. My husband called me at work to tell me we had 2 letters from him. I was so excited to know about those. Then on the way home from work on my cell phone was the 847 area code and when I picked it up, his voice! Oh what a great day!!!!!!!

lisa,

So exciting to hear from your SR!!!  I hope your feet don't touch the ground for quite awhile! :)))
