adrienne:  I think he will be at Meridian then.  YN, LS and AZ are there, from what I can remember.

mommafinn your Sailors should be wearing the Dress White uniforms :-) They already switched from the Dress Blue (winter uniform) to the Dress White (summer uniform)

adrienne ship 09 div 199 wow that is all really nice news my SR is not a big writer so i am not expecting to many letters he is not a big talker either. I have gotten 2 calls but they were to get info., so we really couldn't chat but it warmed my heart to hear his voice. I can not wait to see him in his uniform & i am kind of hoping it will be the white uniform because it is such a sharp looking uniform but white on liberty could be tricky lol well thank you for sharing your letter that was full of info & as we think of our SR's it gives us a mind picture of what they are doing.=)

adrienne - that is exciting news.  A lot of pride and responsibility has been given your SR.  He must be setting a great example.  You must be very proud.

my SR also said that they made him one of the section leaders of 6 and to look for him towards the front when they are marching at PIR :-)

diannep- his job is AZ (Aviation Maintenance Administrationman) atleast that's what I think it is...

tatmom:  Those who will be flying out for A School have PIR Day with family.  PIR is over about 10:30....they have to return to their ships to sign out, get pictures then.  So by that time, it usually is about 11 or after.  Then they have to be back by either 8 or 9 pm that night.  But remember...you can meet them at the airport the next day and wait at the gate with them for their flights.

For those staying in GL for A School, they will have to say goodbye to you shortly after PIR so they can move over to A School next door.  Make sure they have a phone card to call you when done.  This can take 2-4 hours...once they are finished, they will call you to pick them up for the rest of their liberty that day.  They should have daytime liberty on Sat and Sun also, except for "watch" times.

adrienne:  My son went to A school in Meridian, Mississippi.  But there is another place in Mississippi that they go to school too.  What is his job going to be?

Comment by mareluc(Ship11/Div196/PIR 6/29) on May 21, 2012 at 9:05pm

adrienne - congrats on the letters! it makes this so much better when we hear from them
