I just got the call. Div 814 all sailors did well at battle stations. He could not tell anything else.

Congrats to 933!  Saw on Bootcamp Moms where the calls are starting to come in!  Any word from 814?  Not sure if they went last night or not?

leftwayleft- I am very sorry to hear about your son, but I know you will both inspire to do great things together! Thank you for all of the encouragement along the way in our PIR group! Sending you and your son, our love, courage, and prayers on your next journey!

Hoping that calls from 933 and 814 start coming in during the next few hours!  They can start as early as the next 3 hours.

tatmom::  Oh my gosh...tears came to my eyes reading your post.  SO much tragedy in the world, but your positive outlook is so enlightening and refreshing.  Due to tragedies in losing my husband and my brother, I have felt the same way as you do...we pick up and move on, trusting in the Lord for each and every moment.

leftwayleft:  I DO hope you let your son read the posts here meant for you and him.  You all are truly being sent tons of prayers and blessings from so many.

Ditto what everyone else has said...not a cop-out-just can't see for the tears in my eyes...what an inspiration you and your son are! Thank you for all that you have done.

it was a blessing that since you didn't get the call that you knew to follow up.  Thank god for the internet and the information available. I am glad that you are able to reschedule you vacation and take it to spend with your son.  His room sounds amazing.  I didn't redecorate my son's room (he is much older) but I did clean it (lol).  You are a wonderful mom and no one can take that from him or you.  Do what is in your heart, because that is what is best.  If you feel inclined please, FB me and let me know how your son is doing.  My heart goes out - I lost a son and was so desperately trying to get contact with and wasn't able to.  I believe that it will all work out for the both of you.  God's speed.  Be well.

leftwayleft - my tears continue to fall - just as from the beginning of this .... my heart and love go out to you and your son... he is meant to be somewhere else. I know this because  Ryan's brother was murdered almost 8 years ago (come thanksgiving) and it has brought a new light to all of us about our paths in life and purpose.  Your son is a hero in my book for wanting to defend his country and be what he thought he needs to do.  I wish that I could hug him and tell him how proud I am of him and his efforts.  Maybe you could gather all these well wishes for him to read... but I bet, you let him know for all of us... that what he has done is admiral, wonderful and beyond anybodies expectations.  Bless you all. and be well.
