Idea for a letter to SR--- favorite song lyrics or one that means something to them. Just sent mine off..... bummer that my life isn't exciting enough to report in 2 weekly letters ;)
have wonderful weekends!! TGIF!!
Juliebelle28,
The laptop is on my to-do list late this summer, but first comes a new laptop for my SR as a PIR grad gift. I am also getting him a GPS for his A school grad gift. He wanted one for his birthday in October, but I am making it more of a symbolic gift...so he can always find his way home to me. Then, I can buy a laptop for myself. :)
leftwayleft: So sorry about the missed call. Must have been an "need info" call if no message was left. They usually can't leave messages when they make these "supervised" calls for info. Hopefully, your SR will call back.
Good morning!! 6 more Fridays!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!
juliebelle28- We have a brand new desktop, but haven't purchased a laptop yet. (We were busy buying them for kids!)
Sue- So excited for you! I hope your SR is doing well.
Got my first letter today from my son. So happy!!! Can't wait for June 29th.
I would pay whatever the price tag said for high speed internet! When I talk to my three year old grandaughter on the phone she runs to the computer and says, "Let's Skype, Grandma!" Then, her mother says, "This is mommy's mommy. She isn't the Skype-Grandma." Now I have a son who's face I want to be able to see, too. grrr.
lol juliebelle, I bet it was hard for them to understand how that could work.
Does anyone on here have a son in DIV 814?? I know someone started a fb page, (that I hope is down now :-D,) but no one is posting on the discussion for 814. A couple veteran moms are, which I appreciate, but it would be wonderful to talk to moms who currently have sons in 814.
Skype is AWESOME, If you don't have it on your computer you should get it. Of course you need a webcam but most newer computers have one. It is a free download. We SKYPE with our Sailor about once a week. We SKYPED with her on Christmas and watched her open all her gifts and she got to see and talk to all 22 family members that were at our house for Christmas. Of course it would have been nice if she could have been home but it was so much better than a phone call. We even SKYPE sometimes during our favorite TV show so it is like we are watching it together :-)
