As I understand it 800 DIV is for SPECOPS such as SEALS and EOD who have to have their signed contract before they head to boot camp.

mareluc, unfortunately not all Sailors going to Pensacola will be on the same flight or at the same airport. The bad thing is the Sailors won't know what airport or airline they will fly out from until a couple days before PIR so it would be hard to know if you could hand off a cell phone or not. But still, it was a very nice and generous offer. If I can come up with a way that it could work I will be sure and let you know. I know you want to help and that was very kind of you :-)

so now I know what the 800 divisions are.  I found out that the 900's are ones that play instruments, perform extra events and help with PIR and other duties.  I wasn't sure what someone has to do to be in the 800's .  Can you say?

It is lonely in the SPECOPS  division 814.  Come and join me in the discussion so we can get to know  each other. I know there have to be others out there :-D

mareluc - what a great idea.  Thanks for the offer.

I also wrote to my SR and told him that if he knows of anyone whose family cannot attend PIR to invite them to spend the day with us.  I am offering same to the moms out there - let me know and we will be happy to have your SR join us for the day!

You are now officially:

TG  33 — 12 Divisions (195–204, 814 & 933) Graduate Friday, June 29, 2012

...as per RTC website! Congratulations!

you have a SPECOPS Divisuion so I will invite some veteran SPECOPS moms to come help out there!

Comment by ReneeBC on May 15, 2012 at 3:11pm

Marluc,

Reminder:  The SR's are not allowed to have their cell phones at the Recruit Training Command.  You can give it to them at the airport as they head out to A school, if you happen be at the same airport.  That is certainly a grand offer!  :)

Comment by mareluc(Ship11/Div196/PIR 6/29) on May 15, 2012 at 2:44pm

Lala......hummmm didn't think of the different airports.  My son is headed to Pensacola.  Will all the Sailors going to Pensacola fly out of same airport?

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on May 15, 2012 at 2:23pm

Thanks so much mareluc for the ribbon order. And what a wonderful idea about taking a cell phone to a Sailor at the Airport, hopefully they would be at the same airport as your Sailor :-)
