You all may start your Divisional Discussions.

PLEASE read the below:

How to add a Discussion - Go to the bottom left corner of the Discussion Forum area (It's actually just above the comment box here.) and click "Add a Discussion".

Fill in the Title and any description you like.

For DIV discussion Titles a suggestion would be:

SHIP ##/ DIV ###

Simple as that! Then the other members from your div can reply and you can connect up even closer there.

Please, only one discussion per Division, Thanks!

Remember that you are ALL part of this TG though and to stay on the main pages to talk here too! Plus, we veteran moms mostly stay on the main pages of the groups. There are 7-8 PIR groups running at one time and so we do not get to the DF's as much. We do check them as often as we can...OPSEC rules apply there also.

shannon04 - I remember that "lost" feeling! You are not alone!

BUT you will be amazed at how "not lost" you will feel in a while!

Like Jessica said...go up to the Discussions and read...lots of info...and please ask questions! That's what we are here for!

By now if you get the info from the recruiter...it should be his permanent Ship...if the info looks funny we can help you with it (just rememebr not to post his last name on here :-) )

Here is the Format for the Address. This is what it will look like in your Form Lettter:

SR, Last Name, First Name, Middle initial

Ship ##, Divison ###

Recruit Training Command

#### Something Drive or Avenue

Great Lakes ILL 60088-####

shannon04 - Here is a page on the RTC Website about retired Military Personnel...just in case you would like something printed out!

Military Personnel Attending PIR Information

Comment by shannon04 on May 9, 2012 at 12:45pm

I am anxiously awaiting the form letter that has the official PIR date, but my Father in Law is retired Navy and wanted to call and check the PIR rules for his attendance who needed to be on the list an is he even needed to be on the official list. They asked for T's information, and his dad was understandably hesitant but the woman told him that she just wanted to check on everything... she proceed to tell him that the PIR date was the 29th of June! He left May 1, so now I am just waiting for the letter so I can start sending out the letters, but his recruiter has not gotten back to me, I am not really sure that they want to give out the address. I just feel a little lost and I really want to make sure that T knows that we are all thinking about him.

Does anyone know how many Divisions are in each Ship?  Do all the Divisions work together?

Comment by Avaya0805 (Ship 9/ Division 201) on May 9, 2012 at 9:38am

Jo Ann!!! We have the same Ship and Division! YAY! I am so excited. I've been waiting for someone to be in the same location. :)

Thank you Dianne.  I'm trying to hop on here whenever I see that our internet signal is good.  So far, that hasn't been very often.  On the upside, I have lost 8 pounds since last Thursday because I've been working to get things unpacked and put away.  As much as I thought I wouldn't like a two story house (with also a basement) I'm loving it because it is great exercise!  lol

Good to see you back here, Betsy!  Figured you were tied up with your new home!

Good Morning all!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on May 8, 2012 at 10:57pm

Hi ladies, I'm another veteran mom on here helping out.  I will be back on in a week or so.  I just moved into a new house and I've been relying on my husband's work hotspot, which has a very erratic signal.  Can't wait to get to know all of you and welcome to our crazy Navy life.
