Praying!

All the sailors will be in my prayers.  Good luck to everyone.

Please pray for Lala's sailors and mine in the Norfolk/Newport News area--and all of the others in harm's way.  They are worried about flooding there.  My son may have to be on his ship (in dry dock) during the storm.  Hoping that he can have his car there high up in the parking garage and safe.  He is on the peninsula (NewportNews).  Prayer is powerful...pray this storm EAST for all of us!  Thanks, ladies!

Also..I will be praying for all of you who are on the East Coast.  I hope everything will be ok.

Good morning Ladies DRod Mom and Mattmom. I am so sorry.  You will get one soon...I know it. One of the other things.  Get a phone card you can just add minutes to.  It's easier than having to buy multiple cards.  Good luck today ladies.  I will be praying and thinking of you all day.

Thanks ladies for all the good advice. Using my lunch hr. to get a phone card and activating it.

ftlw- I just thought you would want to know that they do make collect calls. My daughter ran out of min on her calling card and she called me collect. It was a $10 phone call but well worth every penny to me :-) The problem is that many cell phone providers do not allow collect calls. Sprint does allow them and it will tell you before you except the call who it is and how much it will be for 10 or 20 min. Then you decide if you want to accept the call. At that point I was missing her so bad I would have gladly paid $50 or even a $100 for that call lol.

They can buy a calling card at the Nex but they don't get to go the Nex whenever they want or need to. So they may not be able to get that calling card when they need it. So if you think your SR needs one then i would go ahead and send one.

I am so happy that I got a call and my first letter yesterday but I feel bad for the moms that didn't. Hope that call comes soon. Love and prayers sent..

Thank you ladies - I will get a card out to him today. Its really all my fault I thought he would need phone card and should have sent one when he left, but thought "oh I'm sure he can buy one there". Should have gone with first instinct. Plus I had psyched myself up so much yesterday that I was going to get call and then it not happening really undid me. New day New Out Look - step 1 - get phone card. step 2 - tell husband he was right (Ugh!!! lol). step 3 - don't worry about SR - He is fine.
