OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hey!  Can you delete WestonsMom's post that gives the name/address of a SR?  I asked her to do it, but if she doesn't in the next hour or so, and you are on, please just click the "x" in her box.  I asked her to send out privately.  Thanks!

Thanks for adding a Group for PIR 09/30/2011. If you want suggestions for things to include, you are welcome to get anything from the 09/23/2011 site that you want. I looked at other recent PIR Group pages when deciding what to put on there and then decided to put important things in the Pages and save the Discussions for the Divisions. I chose to do Brother Divisions because they train together rather than each Ship/Division as some do, so that there would be more people interacting with each other and also cut down on the number of Discussions. That was my strategy and you can take from it whatever you want. I hope that your group starts growing soon. There are several seasoned moms who will stop in and help you out, which is wonderful and I suggest that you find a couple of other moms/wives with a Recruit at the RTC to be Administrators as well. Blessings to you and yours.
