Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Diannep: It is lovely here. Except for right now with Irene holy cow. lol but other than that I have lived here 12 years and it has been a nice place.....but as we know wherever hubby gets stationed next I go so I guess I won't be here much longer either! lol

 

quick question? What is I.T? my husband said as RCPO if someone messes up he has to I.T?

Micaela:  You live up in my "dream" area.  We tried to move up there back in 93 when boys were young.  Love it up there.  But didn't work out then...my sailor lived in Juno Beach for over 1.5 yrs while interning and then working, before joining Navy.  I would drive up once a week from Miami to visit for the afternoon.  He stayed in my parents' condo there...just love it up there and the beach is wonderful!   Love the dog beach!

ok so my daughters youth leader is a dork..i so have been so obvious that this mama has not recv'd mail......he send s a text when is the baptism and where this sunday.....ps i recv'd card from my sr omgoodness...talk about ride i just went form mad to sad to excited cause i now know i should have a letter I am so leaving work early today...............my mailman better not let me down or he/she may have to call the waaaambulance............she did say she misses her mommy and that she is reading her bible and that it is crazy there and for us to pray for her.................i need my letter.............sorry very emotional right now

Thank You all! :) and ask your SR if he or she was sneaking food into the dormitory lol that is why my husband had to yell at him. lol

 

Anyway, can't wait to receive the actual first letter so this second one makes sense! but yeyyy for letters! I though this day would never come! and he asked me to send letters and articles, i have been doing that......so i hope he is getting them! love to all of you!

Dianne, oop on the video link.  I guess I don't follow directions very well, lol.  

Btw, I guess I'm a chicken when it comes to walking my dog in the rain.  With all of the hair that she has, I really just don't want to smell wet doggy the rest of the day.  lol  She hates it when I even brush her, so I know a blow dryer is definitely out of the question.  lol
