aggiemom: The 900 division is the performing division...they will perform at some of the PIRs. Not all will "perform," Some will have behind-the-scenes jobs at the PIRs. The 800 division is the special ops division.
Normally these divisions do not have brother divisions to train with---although every so often, there may be two 900 divisions or two 800 divisions in a PIR group (very rare though). In that case, they have a brother division.
So....assuming that there is only one 900 division in this PIR group, they could tag on to a pair of brother divisions for BattleStations (i.e., go the same night)...or in rare circumstances, they can go by themselves. The regular divisions go through with a "brother" division, which is the one they trained with.
Hope this helps!
Not trying to "blast" anyone...just making sure y'all start out right!
I will post in the Discussion Forum too!
Community Guidelines and OPSEC
Hello Everyone.
Safety for your SR (future Sailor) and you!
LAST names are NOT allowed anywhere on this site.
FIRST names ARE allowed but we will most often advise you not to use them. This is a public forum and anyone can read the posts-they do not have to be a member (if the group is set to private, the public cannot read but all N4M members can-so all you have to do is join) While they use their last names in BC (in fact they don't usually, if ever, find out each other’s first names until the end of BC), the RDC's know who they are and can then, with the right amount of info, link them up to you. So, let’s say you use your last name in your N4M name, post a picture of your SR...easy to match up...and so on.
Why does that matter? Your SR's are trying to get through BC with as little undue attention as possible. "Fly under the radar", so to speak. One SR reported his picture plastered on a wall of the classroom one day...another had to do 5 pushups for every time his mom posted.
The MOST important reason for being discreet is OPSEC-Operational Security. This is a way of life for us now. It will be for your Sailors career. Some even more so depending on their individual security clearance. Some moms have mentioned that even today after years they do not know EXACTLY what their sailor does. Mine has a "secret" clearance and cannot tell me any info about his training.
SPECOPS...definitely needs to be VERY careful. We don't have an 800 DIV (SPECOPS recruits), but have had a few in the recent PIR groups.

Thank You.
