Good Morning ladies. Another veteran mom here who stops by to help you through lovely boot camp. I remember boot camp like it was yesterday. I had tons and tons of questions to ask because it was all so new to me. My son's journey through boot was filled with lots of ups and downs. It was great to have others to ask for advice and support. As diannep says. Please feel free to ask us anything.

Boot camp is rough on us moms but the time seems to go by fast once you reach week Four.  So hang on!!

Good morning, ladies.  Another veteran lady here joining to help you all through bootcamp....along with Lala, fireteam, and I'm sure others who will join like Betsy and Sandy.  Please post any questions you all have.  We will be glad to help.  I have been following the PIR groups now for over 1.5 yrs, and the rest of the ladies here have been on for a good while as well....and we have lots of info for you.  So we will try to cover all of your questions.

This is quite a journey and remember...no question is silly nor asked too often!

Good luck to each of you!  We can tell you that the END RESULT is worth everything!  HOOYAH!

These first 3 to 4 weeks will be the hardest for you and your recruits as well. Try not to worry, it will all get better and the time will pass a lot quicker than you ever thought. For now start writing letters. Write every day if you can, getting mail in bootcamp is the highlight of their day and it is what keeps them going. They say it is like Christmas when they hear their named called for mail. They won't be able to send or receive mail (other than the form letter) for the first 2 weeks but they will be happy to get a whole bunch at once :-) If you run out of things to write about let us know and we will give you some ideas. Just keep encouraging them and sending all the good vibes you can.

Hello everyone, I am happy to see you have started this group and I look forward to getting to know you all and to helping make this journey a little easier for you as well. My name is Lora, most of my friends call me Lala.  I have 2 Sailors and another one who will be joining soon. I have been helping out on this site for over a year now. My daughter had PIR in July 2010. If you have any questions at all just ask. That is what we are here for. Welcome :-) to N4M's!!!

Hello Ladies,

I am a "newer" veteran...2 1/2 months. Sailor PIR'd on 05/26/2011. I am one of many who will be here to help answer questions, give advice when asked, encourage and lend a shoulder! diannep-veteran, LaLa, Betsy, Sandy, just to name a few will be on soon with their wonderful insight and help. There may be a few new ones too!

aggiemom-thanks for starting the group!

we are from Michigan so we will probably be driving - it will be about a four drive drive for us.  We are checking on rooms, etc.
