Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by 1stlove (02/946) on September 27, 2011 at 12:22pm: I cannot work under these conditions I think I am going in sane I think I need to take fmla for this stuff........this is crazy........we send them off to bootcamp and get the sepration blues....then weeks pass and we get depressed because we miss them blues......then few more weeks pass and we the OMGOODNESS hurry and call anxiety blues. Our minds just don't function the same during these long 8.5 weeks.

Micaela I ams o with you girl that countdown clock is making me even more crazy 2 DAYS r u serious.

Burnt my blue candle last night. got that sweet message from someone that saw our Div marching which was awesome. Then to wake up knowing that they could be in the capping ceremony right then and feeling their joy of how they must feel to have accomplished this huge step towards independency.

I know i am rambling but I am just like really truly gone mad today...........

LOL I love you all so much and am very happy for all of us.

Leah I wish you were to share in this joy. But jnow God is still in control and he will see you through and you will soon be at this point. Still praying for you two. God Bless and much love.

I keep staring at my phone - I'm so scared it won't ring & I'll miss the call, or the call will be dropped, or he'll forget the phone number, or he'll call someone else, or . . . UGH - I'm driving myself crazy!!! Hahaha.

Comment by diannep on September 27, 2011 at 8:49am: Ok, so we THINK you are expecting calls from 3 divisions today. The calls usually start around 2pm GL time and can go for a while. Phones handy all day...don't leave them for a second. Hopefully bosses will give special permission re: phones today since this is such a special day. Please ask your new sailor if all in his/her division passed and post that on here for those who may not get their call today. Some sailors may have watch.

Capping ceremony could be going on now! HOOYAH!
