omg LaLa you made me cry and laugh at the same time. lol I agree sometimes writing was like talking to myself. Especially when no letters were coming. But I found ways and things to talk about. The poor man im sure is like ok I dont need to know that you fit into your old jeans lol....or that I got my eyebrows waxed today....but he is hilarious so some of the things he wrote me were pretty interesting.....I have all of them and I plan to keep them :)

lol, I wrote at least one letter every day the entire time she was there. It was hard sometimes to come up with something to write about to keep it interesting for her and not the same boring thing everyday. I researched things she liked and kept her up to date on everything in the world and stalked her friends on facebook and kept her up to date on who broke up, who got married, and who was pregnant lol. I guess it is a little different when your recruit is a girl :-) But I always found something to write about. I even sent letters from the pets. She was the one who always fed our cat every morning. And he was and is HUGE. I decided to control how much he ate when she left to see if he could loose a pound or two. Well he drove me crazy. So the letter to her from him was so funny, he said he was in prison and the food rations were very low; no one cared; how could she leave him here alone; and how on earth could she choose "boot camp" over him, he knows she loves her shoes and boots but why did she need to go to camp to get more? It was so funny and she loved it. You just have to make the writing fun lol.

Lora I think that sounds like a good idea :)

And yes, looking back on it now (even though im expecting a letter today lol) The waiting on the mail man and running out like a 3 year old in the rain just to get the mail was definately interesting....lol and how much those letters affect the rest of our weeks. Now to the writing...I am exhausted lol.....I have written one if not two every single day since he left....I need a break. lol

I actually missed writing and receiving all the letters. It was always so exciting, and sometimes very stressful, waiting on the mail each day. I think I will send a card in the mail today to my Sailor and let her know how much I love her :-)

Good morning everyone! I hope you all get letters today. Thursdays are always good letter days here in NC :-)

...and if you write the 25th, be sure to copy that letter and take it with you...just in case they haven't received it.
