aggiemom, I know for a fact that if my in-laws lived that close, we would have been divorced years ago!   I feel for ya!!

You are all cracking me up this morning :) My in-laws live 6 months out of state and 6 months literally next door. It has worked out OK...I just stay in my house sometimes :) My mother-in-law is great and we do get a long we are just very different.

I live in CA and it is 98 today...so I get the change of weather thing :) But I can honestly say with my hormones I am looking forward to the cold :)

Horselover - that is good advice about living far away - my in-laws live a mere 1/4 mile away.  Drive by my house about 20 times a day and if we are home - ALWAYS stop - just to say hi.  UGH!!  I feel very fortunate that my boys have been able to have a wonderful relationship with their grandparents (which I didn't have growing up), but still.  My mom lives about 2 miles from my home and she stays away unless I need her - she raised five girls and her philosophy is - if you need me you will call.

Drod don't worry you will be able to spot us a mile away. Imagine we are still in the 90's over here.

Still need dates for div 323. This string this morning is good for the soul, laughed my butt off. Oh yeah and all you lucky Floridians I will keep u up to date date on the weather here in the Midwest. I am about 2 hrs away. And when I see u all in sweaters, I will be the one in short/no sleeves and still to warm.

Ladies, with Battle Stations coming up, PLEASE ask your SR when they call , if everyone in the division has passed,so if you do not get a call because they are on watch or something, you will know how it went.

diannep, I have thought long and hard on that subject because I never wanted to make anyone feel the way I did with my in-laws.

Nobody will EVER be good enough for my in-laws kids. ( aka, my husband ) and trust me! these kids were no GOLDEN kids. But they cant do anything wrong!

Everything and I mean EVERYTHING is the daughter in laws fault! Because apparantly we control everything in their lives! OK so I could go on and on.

But here is the thing I came up with.   All I want is for my kids is to be happy and if the one they love makes them happy, then I am happy and I will stay out of things I should not be in.Make friends with that daughter in law even if you dont see eye to eye. And oh yea, live farrrrr away! LOL
